Two candidates for the Disciplinary Board of Judges received their evaluation results

The Vetting Commission sent its decisions to the Superior Council of Magistracy regarding the evaluation of judges Lucia Bagrin and Sofia Aramă, who are seeking membership in the Disciplinary Board of Judges. According to the Commission, Lucia Bagrin, a judge at the Chișinău Court, Rîșcani Office, passed the evaluation, as there were no serious doubts concerning her compliance with ethical and financial integrity criteria. Judge Sofia Aramă from the Cimișlia Court failed the evaluation.

In accordance with established procedures, the Commission publishes the evaluation results on its webpage. The candidates shall notify the Commission if they oppose the publication of the reasoned decisions within 48 hours of receipt. In the absence of such notification, the decisions will be uploaded in a de-personalized form to www.vettingmd.eu, in the section "Commission's Activity - Reports/Decisions."

Unfavorable decisions of the Evaluation Commission may be appealed before the Supreme Court of Justice. The evaluated candidate may appeal the decision within 5 days from the date of receiving the reasoned decision, without following the preliminary procedure.
