Proposal for the pass of the external evaluation for a judge of the Central Court of Appeal

2025-04-04

The Judicial Vetting Commission announces that it has completed the evaluation of judge Angela Bostan from the Central Court of Appeal and has submitted its report to the Superior Council of Magistracy (SCM). The report includes a proposal for the pass of the external evaluation.

The SCM will analyze the evaluation report and decide whether to accept or reject it. At this stage, the evaluation result is published on the Commission’s website under the “Subjects” section. The full report will be published within three days after the expiration of the period for contesting the SCM’s decision or after the Supreme Court of Justice either rejects a potential appeal or confirms the passing or failure of the evaluation.

Judge Angela Bostan was previously subject to evaluation by the Pre-Vetting Commission. That evaluation was conducted pursuant to Law 26/2022, which establishes more stringent criteria than those provided under Law 252/2023, regarding the evaluation of the judges currently serving at the Central Court of Appeal.
