Announcement on the refusal of a candidate for the SCJ to attend the hearing

The candidate for the position of judge at the Supreme Court of Justice (SCJ), Ludmila Ouș, has informed the Vetting Commission that she refuses to attend the hearing scheduled for today, 13 March, 12:00.

According to article 15 para. (2) of Law no. 65/2023 on the external evaluation of judges and candidates for the position of judge of the Supreme Court of Justice and article 22 para. (2) of the Rules of Organization and Functioning of the Vetting Commission, if the subject refuses to attend the hearing, the Commission will complete its assessment based on the information it has gathered and without conducting the hearing.
