One more candidate for membership in the Evaluation and Selection Board of Judges passed the external evaluation

Judge Ghenadie Mîra, evaluated by the Vetting Commission as a candidate for the position of member in the Evaluation and Selection Board of Judges of the Superior Council of Magistracy (SCM), passed the external evaluation. As per the Commission's decision, he meets the ethical and financial integrity criteria outlined in Law 26/2022, under which his evaluation was conducted.

The decision was sent today to both the candidate and the SCM as the organizer of the competition for filling the vacant positions on the two specialized boards of judges. Ghenadie Mîra is to notify the Commission if he opposes the publication of the decision within 48 hours from the receipt of the document. In the absence of such notification, the Commission will publish the decision on its website www.vettingmd.eu 

Candidates to the SCM and SCM boards, entered in the competition after 1 September 2023, are evaluated by the Vetting Commission, as established by Law 252/2023 on external evaluation of judges and prosecutors.

In the competition for membership on the Evaluation and Selection Board of Judges, 13 judges and representatives of civil society have submitted their applications. The SCM has transmitted their list to the Vetting Commission for evaluation. Currently, five candidates passed the evaluation while one withdrew and seven are undergoing evaluation.
