The Judicial Vetting Commission has notified the last five judges of the Central Court of Appeal—recently renamed from the Chișinău Court of Appeal—for hearings, thus completing the notification process for all 18 judges of the court currently undergoing the extraordinary external evaluation.
Judges Ruxanda Pulbere, Angela Bostan, Dorin Dulghieru, Ana Panov, and Grigore Dașchevici have been notified of their hearings and informed of the financial integrity and/or ethical concerns identified by the Commission during the evaluation process. These matters will be examined and discussed during the hearings. The judges are required to inform the Commission whether they will attend the hearings. They can request access to their evaluation case files by submitting a formal request to the Commission’s Secretariat.
The Judicial Vetting Commission is planning to conduct hearings for all 18 judges of the Central Court of Appeal, as well as a candidate for the Supreme Court of Justice, between February 3 and 18, 2025. To date, 14 judges have confirmed their participation, with hearings set to commence on Monday, February 3, 2025.
Additionally, seven subjects of evaluation have requested that their hearings be held partially or entirely behind closed doors. The Commission has reviewed these requests and has partially approved them in four cases.
