Evaluation completed for a prosecutor running for the Supreme Court of Justice judge

The Judicial Vetting Commission has completed the evaluation of Vladimir Adam, a candidate for the position of judge at the Supreme Court of Justice. According to the Commission, candidate Vladimir Adam does not meet the integrity criteria and has not passed the external evaluation under Law 65/2023. This conclusion is included in the evaluation report submitted to the Superior Council of Magistracy (SCM) for review.

The SCM will examine the details of the evaluation based on the submitted materials and will issue a reasoned decision to either accept or reject the Judicial Vetting Commission's report. The report will be published on the Commission's website within 3 days of the SCM's decision, in accordance with Article 16 (5) of Law 65/2023 and the Rules of Organization and Functioning of the Commission.

The evaluation of Vladimir Adam was carried out based on the financial and ethical integrity criteria established by Law 65/2023, which pertains to the external evaluation of judges and candidates for the position of judge at the Supreme Court of Justice. The report on Vladimir Adam's evaluation is the 26th adopted by the Vetting Commission under Law 65/2023. One report is currently being prepared, and the evaluation of the final four candidates in this group is in progress.
