Evaluation Report of the SCJ candidate, Alexandru Rotari, sent to the SCM for examination

The Vetting Commission has completed the integrity evaluation of attorney-at-law Alexandru Rotari who is running for the position of judge at the Supreme Court of Justice (SCJ). The evaluation report, with the proposal to fail, has been sent to the Superior Council of Magistracy (SCM) for examination.

The SCM is to analyze the details of the evaluation and decide whether to accept or reject the report. Within 3 days of the adoption of the reasoned decisions by the SCM, the Vetting Commission will publish the report on its webpage www.vettingmd.eu, in accordance with the provisions of Law 65/2023 and the Commission's Rules of Organization and Functioning.

As part of the external evaluation process of the Supreme Court of Justice, the Vetting Commission has completed the evaluation of 20 subjects, with the submission of reports to the Superior Council of Magistracy. Of these, 11 reports included proposals for pass, while 99 contained proposals for fail. The SCM examined 16 reports, accepting 15 of them, and in one case ordered the re-evaluation of the subject.
