Integrity of the winners of the competition for judge positions at the Chișinău and Bălți Courts of Appeal will be verified

The Superior Council of Magistracy (SCM) has submitted to the Judicial Vetting Commission the list of winners from the competition for the positions of judge at the Chișinău Court of Appeal and the Bălți Court of Appeal for evaluation.

The following judges will undergo the integrity verification process: for the Chișinău Court of Appeal, seven Judges have been nominated: Andrei Cașcaval, Vitalie Budeci, Constantin Roșca, Serghei Dimitriu, Eleonora Badan-Melnic, Grigore Manoli, and Gheorghe Stratulat. For the Bălți Court of Appeal, Judge Ivan Parii will be evaluated.

The Vetting Commission will assess their financial and ethical integrity based on the criteria outlined in Law 252/2023. The evaluation process will commence once the candidates are officially notified of the initiation of the vetting procedure.

During the evaluation, the Commission will determine whether the judges have adhered to professional ethics, whether they have been involved in any conflicts of interest, whether they have accurately declared their assets, and whether those assets align with their reported income.
