The Judicial Vetting Commission will continue the hearing process for judges from the Central Court of Appeals on Monday, February 17. In this context, additional procedural actions will be undertaken in several cases under evaluation to clarify certain aspects related to the integrity assessment of some magistrates.
After the hearing of Judges Olga Cojocaru and Angela Bostan by a three-member panel, their evaluation has been referred to the full Commission, in accordance with Article 33, paragraph (4) of its Rules of organization and functioning. Judge Olga Cojocaru has been invited to a hearing before the full Commission at 12:30 PM, while Judge Angela Bostan is scheduled for 2:30 PM. As part of the evaluation process, third parties will also be heard. In the case of Judge Ruxanda Pulbere, a third party will be heard by the full Commission on the same day at 4:30 PM. Parts of these hearings may be conducted behind closed doors.
Additionally, following the referral of Judge Ala Malîi’s case to the full Commission, the evaluation will be finalized without a repeated hearing, as the judge has exercised her right not to participate in another session. The decision will be based on the information gathered so far. The Commission has also invited Judge Mihail Diaconu for a hearing. However, he has not yet confirmed his attendance.
In accordance with legal provisions, hearings are generally held in public sessions. However, based on the specific circumstances of each case, they may be extended through additional sessions or, when warranted, conducted behind closed doors.
