A judge withdrew from the competition for the position of member of the Disciplinary Board of Judges

Eugeniu Pșenița, a judge at the Edineț Court, has withdrawn from the competition for the position of member of the Disciplinary Board of judges of the Superior Council of Magistracy. Under Law 26/2022 concerning certain measures related to the selection of candidates for positions in the self-administration bodies of judges and prosecutors, a candidate's withdrawal from the competition is considered equivalent to failing the evaluation.

Today, the Vetting Commission issued a decision in respect of judge Pșenița regarding the acknowledgment of his withdrawal from the competition. The decision has also been communicated to the Superior Council of Magistracy, the institution responsible for organizing the competition. The evaluation result has been published on the Commission’s website www.vettingmd.eu

The Commission will publish the decision only with the candidate’s consent or if the candidate does not notify the Commission of any objection to the publication within 48 hours.
