The Superior Council of Magistracy approved two more Vetting Commission reports

The Superior Council of Magistracy (SCM) approved today two more reports from the Vetting Commission regarding the evaluation of two candidates for the position of judge at the Supreme Court of Justice (SCJ). The Commission proposed that both candidates pass the external evaluation.

The SCM decision concerning the SCJ candidate, judge Aurelia Cazacliu from the Chișinău District Court can be referred HERE.

The SCM decision concerning the SCJ candidate, attorney-at-law Aliona Ciocanu can be referred HERE.

Within the next three days after the SCM's reasoned decisions are adopted, the Vetting Commission will publish the evaluation reports on its website in a depersonalized form.

Thus far, the Vetting Commission has submitted five evaluation reports to the SCM, all containing a proposal for passing the evaluation. Four reports concerned SCJ candidates, and one concerned an incumbent SCJ judge. In all five cases, the SCM accepted the Commission's reports.
