The Vetting Commission has taken notice of the reasoned decision of the Superior Council of Magistracy (SCM) regarding Aliona Miron, evaluated by the Commission as a sitting judge of the Supreme Court of Justice. The SCM had found the judge Miron passed the evaluation of financial and ethical integrity under Law 65/2023.
On 26 December 2023, the Commission submitted to the SCM the report on the evaluation of Aliona Miron with the proposal to pass the evaluation. On Tuesday 13 February 2024, the evaluation results were examined by the SCM in a public session. During the sitting, the SCM members accepted the Vetting Commission's report regarding Aliona Miron and found that the evaluation is passed. The Vetting Commission will publish the evaluation report on its website in a depersonalized form within a maximum of three days from the adoption of the reasoned decision by the SCM.
Aliona Miron is the first incumbent judge of the Supreme Court of Justice who has passed the external evaluation conducted by the Vetting Commission and has been accepted by the SCM.
